I totally didn't have time or energy on the last Marvel Masterpieces set, and while I learned a lot about quick coloring and whatnot, I wish I had put my heart into it. Thus, for MMIII, I am totally devoting time to this set. My first card, Storm, didn't turn out quite how I wanted her to, but she's a test card. How does the cardstock hold up, what happens with marker on it, etc.

I had some weird splotchy issues with the marker, so hopefully I'll figure a way around it or do painted cards. Either way, here's the kickoff to Marvel Masterpieces III!

Many thanks to :icongeddlee: for putting up with me on the last set.

This is an original sketchcard for Marvel Masterpieces III. Storm is obviously copyright Marvel. Uploaded with permission.

I've had the same issues with the splotchy marks on these cards with marker. Glad to hear it's not just me!

It's surreal. It's like Topps cardstock all over again, I'd just gotten into doing these paintings instead with watercolor, and decided to do the same for my Indy cards, but the stock was different so it wouldn't hold watercolor and beaded up. I'll try painting on the next one :)
