These were compositional film studies. Points to folks for knowing what movie they're from.

The basic exercise is to pause a film at a certain point where the composition works well, and then quickly sketch it out in Painter no bigger than a few inches by a few inches and without 'heavy' detail.

I was thinking Gone with the Wind (based on the bottom right pic), but that's not Black and White.

So, looking at the bottom left pic, I'm thinking either the Maltese Falcon or Psycho....

ahh so i was kinda right. i guessed Casablanca at the Tav. middle one's definitely my fav :nod:

seems like a fun exercise
i should try that shizz sometime

oh I just love old movies :) this looks like a great exercise. I'll keep it in mind myself sometime, I need work on how to put things together :P you captured the compositions well.
